Premier’s Teachers Mutual Bank Mathematics Scholarship #ftw
August 20, 2012 § 4 Comments
It was a great honour to attend Government House on Saturday for the awarding of the NSW Premier’s Teaching Scholarship. We started in the ballroom where we were introduced to our sponsors and then waited for all of the dignitaries to arrive. It was great to hear the stories of previous recipients and meet some fellow 2012 scholars. Next we were invited to receive our awards from Barry O’Farrell and then pose for photos – good times aplenty.
My time abroad will be spent looking to:
- Evaluate student learning outcomes in a variety of school contexts that offer ‘Project based learning’.
- Investigate leadership strategies which are used in a ‘Project based learning’ environment to: build momentum in establishment phase, maintain enthusiasm during term time and constantly improve learning experiences.
- Find out why this specific learning approach is having a great impact in these schools via student, teacher and parent feedback.
- Ask questions regarding the creation, implementation and reflection stages of project design.

Congratulations Mark. A very well deserved award. Learn and share.
