In Year 8 Mathematics the students are learning about data and the different ways we can represent data. We’ll be taking a look at the blog hits to this site by country¬†(I decided to use the widget called Clustrmaps) and then students will decide how they want to present this information. We’ll be using some of the graph features in Microsoft Excel as well as wordle.

The power of learning with Moodle

At my school we have been using moodle as a platform for organising our subject resources and managing assessment. For both face to face students as well as online students it has been a fantastic tool to work with. In order to improve my understanding of moodle I’ll be attending the iMoot conference this week. The conference is online and I’m hoping to learn some new ways of being able to use moodle more effectively for my Maths courses. Details of the conference are here.
