Handy iPad apps for Maths

May 31, 2012 § Leave a comment

Over the last few weeks I’ve been able to see the benefits of some fantastic iPad apps. Sometimes I’ll receive an email from a student saying ‘ Can you help me with this?’. With the assistance of Show Me I can record a little vid and within 5 seconds, post it online and then send them the link. It has been such a handy app.

Number Line has been useful for students who are developing skills in the areas of percentages, fractions and decimals.

Some of my Year 8 students have been appreciating AlgebraTouch.

It has been really helpful for students who are learning about like terms, distribution and solving basic equations.

Quick graph is a fast and easy graphing app. Useful for trig and all of the conics.

Adobe Ideas has been a useful app for taking a student through a solution and t

hen emailing a screen shot directly to the student.
